Job Title: Teen Club Supervisor, Luxury Resort

 

Reporting to: Hotel General Manager, Worldwide Kids Company Operations Team

 

Responsible for: The safety welfare and care of the children within the club

 

Works with: Teen children

 

Based: Cyprus

 

Dates: July and August

We are looking for passionate enthusiastic and outgoing people to work at one of 2 luxury, 5 star resorts in Cyprus. You will be independently running a club for teenagers, creating and delivering a weekly activity plan and taking part in daily sporting activities.

 

The role would ideally suit a person who has a sports/ activity instructor or youth work background as the role enables you to be very hands on and get involved with the sports which the children are playing.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • To independently run the Teen Club within the hotel for children from 13-17 year olds

  • To plan and deliver an exciting weekly entertainment and activity programme using imaginative ideas for special promotions

  • Ensure all on site health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments are in place, operational and updated as necessary

  • Meet with hotel's General Manager on a weekly basis to update them on the running of the teen club

  • Ensure children are having fun without compromising safety

  • To be pro active in suggesting suitable activities for the children in your care

  • Create exciting weekly timetable of activities and play ideas for the children within your specified age group

  • To be available for babysitting duties as and when required

  • To support and report back to the childcare manager any important information or discrepancies

  • To liaise directly with the parents of the children who are attending the club and feedback to them

  • Inform childcare supervisor of any equipment and supplies shortages and make a request for additional stocks

  • To attend daily meetings with other WWKC staff based at the resort

  • To be pro active with ideas on possible new initiatives to attract new business

  • To liaise with on site cleaning teams to ensure the cleanliness of the club and report any discrepancies to the front of house

  • To be a visible face of WWKC within the hotel or resort.

  • Attend suitable training courses in order to maintain and develop skills

 

 

 

Essential

 

  • Teaching or instructing qualification or experience

  • Ability to work using own initiative

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluent English

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience of working with children 13 -17 year olds

  • Knowledge of Greek & Russian
